CORONAVIRUS CARE ADVICE

Staying safe and preventing loneliness

There is no doubt that we are living in unprecedented times due to the Covid-19 outbreak. This has put an added pressure on the care sector, which is why it is important for those who require care to make the correct choices.

At Cornerstone Authentic Care, we believe in doing our best to protect the NHS and protect all people who use our service, their families, and our staff. Our registered manager is a nurse with many years of experience of managing hospital settings. She leads on infection control, health and safety and she has put in place measures which will enable all those who use our service to stay safe in their own homes.

All of our team will receive training on infection control, they will be provided with appropriate PPE including masks, aprons, gloves or visors as and when required. All of our staff will be trained to check temperatures and they will have undertaken Covid screening to make sure you are kept safe.

We also have put together a cleaning schedule for our carers to follow daily to ensure that your home environment is kept clean.

If you get symptoms of coronavirus, you are advised to self-isolate immediately and follow government guidance.

Contact 111 if you need medical help. In an emergency, dial 999.

It is critical that everybody observes the following key behaviours:

  • HANDS – Wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds.
  • FACE – Wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet.
  • SPACE – Stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings or increasing ventilation indoors).

Please refer to government guidance on coronavirus for more up to date information.
